Kerry retains its 13 blue flag beaches

Kerry has retained its 13 blue flag beaches this year. The awards were presented by Environment Minister Phil Hogan. Nationally, a record 87 beaches were awarded blue flags for achieving excellent water quality and very high standards in safety, environmental management and education. The Kerry beaches are:

  • Derrynane
  • Ballinskelligs
  • White Strand
  • Kells
  • Rossbeigh
  • Inch
  • Ventry
  • Fenit
  • Maherabeg
  • Banna
  • Ballyheigue
  • Ballybunion North
  • Ballybunion South.

Kerry, Donegal and Mayo have the most blue flag beaches in the country at 13 each.

    Very informative site about the Kerry region. This is where I like to go when every I can, so much to do any see.
