Kerry has featured twice in a longlist of Irelands best places to live. Out of over 500 entries in The Irish Times Best Place to live competition, Killarney and the Dingle Peninsula have made the top 25. The diverse list includes cities, towns, villages, suburbs and rural areas. Each of the top 25 areas will be visited by researchers and a shortlist will be announced on June 18th. The overall winner will be announced on June 25th. The winning place will receive a plaque noting the accolade, will be profiled in The Irish Times and will be the subject of a short film.
