Kerry’s property prices continue to fall

House prices across Kerry are continuing to fall in the current economic climate. According to the latest Kerry’s Eye property price survey the value of good agricultural land has also fallen as much as forty percent in the county.

Across Kerry, the price of a three bedroom semi-detached has dropped by as much as 13% in the past 12 months. However, in the past ten years the price for this type of house has increased by 150% depending on the location.

A three bed semi-detached in Killarney cost €295,000 last year representing the biggest annual drop in Kerry of 13.5%. The same house cost €192,000 in Tralee, €190,000 in Listowel and €195,000 in Castleisland. Outside of these areas, prices remain higher at €296,000 in Dingle, €253,000 in Kenmare, €238,000 in Killorglin and €235,000 in Caherciveen.
