The CONNECT organisers are delighted to announce that the 12th International Aviation Forum will take place from the 3rd – 5th June 2015 in Killarney, County Kerry.
Hosted by Destination Kerry and Kerry Airport, and supported the local and national tourism industry, the CONNECT conference will bring together more than 400 leading aviation professionals to meet, discuss and shape their future networks across Europe and beyond.
“Destination Kerry in collaboration with its tourism partners are looking forward to the opportunity to showcase the destination and highlight to the key industry players what we have to offer” said Peter McDermott, Chairman of Destination Kerry. “Kerry is Ireland’s jewel in the crown of tourism. The area attracts visitors from every corner of the globe, with its main source of visitors coming from the USA, UK, Germany and France. Hosting CONNECT in 2015 will bring a focus on access to Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way, one of Ireland’s main tourist attractions, of which Kerry accounts for 440km of the coastal drive. Overseas visitor numbers were up 13.6% for the first 6 months of 2014 – a trend we hope to improve on with increased seat capacity.”
“This year Kerry hopes to add a new dimension to the successful CONNECT event by inviting Tour Operators from around Europe to CONNECT 2015” explains Carol O’Donoghue, Route Development and Marketing Manager at Kerry Airport. “Tour Operators bring thousands of visitors to Kerry and Ireland every year and we believe they are vital partners in a leisure destination’s route development activities. We hope to include them at the early stages of any discussions.”
