6 Mar

Roadworks signKerry’s roads budget for 2013 has been slashed by over a third. Overall funding is down from €62.5m last year to just €40.6m for 2013, a reduction of 35%.

Just 2% of Kerry’s roads will be resurfaced, according to head of roads with Kerry County Council, Charlie O’Sullivan who said the temporary measure of pothole filling would continue.

The reduction in budget will also mean that NO seasonal workers will be hired this year.
