Kerry house prices fall 13% since market peak

House prices in Kerry have fallen by almost €40,000 since the peak of the market in 2007. That’s according to the latest report from property website Daft.ie. The average price of a house in Kerry now stands at €254,420; that’s down over 13% from when prices reached their highest in the county.

Compared to the last three months of 2008, prices are down over three-thousand-euro or 1.3%; making a house in Kerry more expensive than one in counties Clare and Tipperary, and Limerick and Waterford cities.

The average price of a house in Cork County now stands at €279,000. Daft.ie quote the average asking price of a 3-bedroom house in Kerry, in the first three months of this year, as being €237,000; a 4-bedroom is €305,000; and a 5 bedroom house is €398,000.
