Return of Heathrow route to bring thousands of tourists back to Kerry

30 Mar

The return of the Shannon to Heathrow flight route, will bring thousands of extra tourists back to North Kerry this summer, according to Chairman of Shannon Development, John Brassil. Aer Lingus resumed the flight at the weekend, after scrapping it 18 months ago in a major restructuring of the airline’s services.

A campaign to re-instate the flight was mounted in a number of counties, including Kerry, after tourism and business interests were badly affected by the loss of the route. Councillor Brassil believes it’s not too late for Kerry to claw back the lost tourist numbers
