The former president of the GAA, Sean Kelly says the results of Aidan O’Mahony’s drugs test should be greeted with relief. The Kerry player who suffers with asthma, was tested following September’s All-Ireland Final defeat. The sample provided revealed an adverse analytical finding regarding the therapeutic use of Salbutamol. Salbutamol is contained in the inhaler used by asthma sufferers. Sean Kelly says it is a relief that the drug found is not performance enhancing.
