South Kerry TD Jackie Healy Rae says he will not withdraw his support for the Government following this week’s budget. Deputy Healy Rae said he’s very disappointed at the withdrawal of medical cards for all those over the age of 70 and the announcement of the one per cent levy.
But he says to withdraw his support for the Government would jeopardise future projects for the county, agreed in a deal with Fianna Fail following the general election. Deputy Jackie Healy Rae said he’s very disappointed following the announcement that the Castleisland Bypass is to be shelved. He’s promised to share his feelings with the Transport Minister.
