Oscar-nominated actor Liam Neeson is to adjudicate at this year’s Samhlaiocht Kerry Film Festival. The Northern-Irish actor will judge the Best Overall Film at the festival, which runs in early November across the county. Film director and screen-writer Kirsten Sheridan, daughter of Jim Sheridan, will also be involved; she’ll adjudicate the Best International Narrative Short film.
While the Best IRISH one, will be judged by John Carney, director of the film Once, which won an Oscar for Best Original Song. Vanessa Roth, producer of the Oscar-winning documentary Freeheld, will preside over the Best Documentary Short film category at the Kerry Film Festival, and BAFTA-winning director Suzie Templeton, will adjudicate the Best Animated Short film.
