Donaghy out for up to 8 weeks

26 Mar

Kerry could be without Kieran Donaghy for eight weeks after the big full-forward dislocated the AC joint in his shoulder during yesterday’s League clash with Donegal in Letterkenny.

He left the pitch in obvious pain and could be out two months although he won’t know for certain until the extent of the damage is assessed by medical experts.

“It’s very unfortunate for him and indeed for us because he’s such an important player for us. Hopefully, he’ll make a quick recovery,” said team manager, Pat O’Shea.

Donaghy will definitely miss the rest of Kerry’s League campaign but should be fit for their championship opener against Clare or Waterford on June 3.
