Fine Gael TD defends mileage allowances

A South Kerry TD has been defending the mileage expenses which deputies incur driving to Dail Eireann. Kerry representatives can claim around €500 for the round trip which would cost €64 on the train. Speaking on Radio Kerry this morning (Saturday 6/9), Fine Gael TD Tom Sheahan says it is just not possible to do without the car.
